Ash Head is a small, north-facing crag on the moors high above Nidderdale, not far from Sypeland. At first sight the bouldering potential is huge, with numerous large boulders scattered about, however on closer inspection the rock is very dirty, and the climbing disappointing. The rock is unusual, with many rippled features - unfortunately these tend to be quite weak, and can snap unexpectedly when pulled on. The crag may perhaps clean up a bit with more traffic.
